Living with Writing
Japsnese Callingraphy Artist
Calligrapher, Sumizo Artist
KOYAMA SHOFU
I discovered calligraphy when I was 40 years old.
I plan to live with calligraphy all the rest of my life.
The reason for doing calligraphy is very simple.
I felt "beautiful".
My heart was moved.
That's why I do calligraphy.
I thought, "Ah.... I love it."
I want to create and deliver works that move people's hearts like that.
I want to be close to the heart of the viewer.
In the latter half of my life, I found something that I can
hang everything on.
I hope that this path of calligraphy that I have been given
will deliver the energy to "live" to all the people I meet.

Experience Overview

In this experience, beginners and experienced calligraphers alike can create their own unique piece of calligraphy while getting acquainted with Japanese paper, brushes, and sumi ink. It is also ideal for corporate training and group travel, and is used as an opportunity for cross-cultural exchange.
